RCAV Recognition

Dear Remi:

By this letter I am pleased to give approval for The Association of the Hour of Presence to the Heart of Jesus, also known as The Guard of Honor of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, to operate as a Center at Our Lady of the Assumption Parish, Coquitlam, and to be active in the whole Archdiocese of Vancouver in encouraging devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

I anticipate that the Guard of Honor will bear much good fruit in our local Church and will strive for a close relationship with the other lay organizations active in the Archdiocese of Vancouver.

Please note that this recognition does not imply a particular status or relationship with the Archdiocese of Vancouver. This recognition is granted as a source of support to ensure that the Guard of Honor's apostolate within the Archdiocese is conducted in accordance with the Church's teachings and the policies of the Archdiocese.

As you requested, I will be appointing Father John Horgan to serve as Diocesan Director for the Guard of Honor.
